I am not in the horse industry and while I used to ride it was many years ago in Montana, so my familiarity with the industry in Alberta almost nil. I do, however, know someone who is a very good trainer and is new to Southern Alberta. I am curious, what advice would you give to a young woman wanting to enter the industry when they have few contacts and are still busy paying their student loans for Equine Sciences? This young woman has been working horses for many, many years, but the opportunities seem to be very limited and she is rethinking her recent education. Is she on the right track or are there actually folks looking to hire good cutting trainers?
