At Coulee ridge horse training we understand that people need their horses to be very versatile. We strive to design a horse and client specific training program. We believe that the horse that can go over bridges, cross rivers, bring a cow/calf pair out of the field and that can win in the show pen are the best horses to have. This is what you will be able to find in all our horses.
We have experience with halter, western pleasure, rodeo (barrel and roping), ranch, cutting, reining and as of 2007 working cow horses.
2006 was the first year that we had a horse shown in the reining pen. We had a great year and ended the season 3rd in the OPEN (ARCHA). This winter is shaping up to be very interesting with the buffalo and the mechanical cow. I have been riding with NRHA judge and professional showman Rhonda Miller (Thanks for all the help this year).
2007 you will see our horses compete in the reining, cutting and working cow horse classes.
Over the years some of our accomplishment are:
- Many high point ribbons and credits in our Boots and Saddle club (trail, western equitation, western pleasure, halter, gymkhana)
- Worked for Halter, Western pleasure and Breeding show barns
- CCHA Bronze 2,000 Limit Rider Champions upon - QUITE PEPPY
- Showed Quiet Peppy, High Oaktane, Whata Sansation and Misonita in CCHA, CACHA, BCCHA, NCHA events
- Ogden bound upon High Oaktane
Special thanks to Dale Dodd for all that she has taught me in the cutting pen and for letting me ride some of the best cutting horses in Alberta
