It is an honor to own a great young horse like this. Thank you Bob and Merry Delong for selling her to us, and to Bill for finding her.
She has champion written all over her. We are very exited about Zoey. She is by 'steady trade' (pictured above and below). At the age of 6 ‘Steady Trade’ is a world qualifier in reining, working cow horse, heading (finalist) and healing (finalist). He is by the great ‘Steady Tradition’ (LTE $37,080.00) who is a ½ bother to the outstanding stallion ‘Yellow Roan Of Texas’(NCHA LTE $73,000 stands at oasis quarter horses). Her dam was sired by the great ‘Barry Pine’ (superior western pleasure, halter, performance sire). Please check the stallion page for more info Zoey’s pedigree.
Zoey is well started. Her cross overs are coming, she picks up both leads like a broke horse. She has a great head set and a very soft mouth. Her stops will be dynamite. She is the type of horse that does not need to rode all of the time. She is great to be around, loves people and is a joy to work. As soon as we get moved she will be started on cattle. I am thinking about going the reining and working cow horse route with her. She has tons of speed, character, motivation, athletic ability and forward motion. Stands 15 hands (still growing). We want to promote her and then she will be a great broodmare.
Nominated to the Canadian Reining Breeders Classic, the National Reining Breeders Classic and the AQHA insentive fund
UPDATE: Zoey is working great. We are planning on taking her along with us on our trip to the mountains the end of July. She is also going to be plunked into the feedlot.
ZOEY HAS BEEN SOLD TO BARRY AND ROXANNE BENDICK. Good luck with her we know that you will like her.
